HOW YOU CAN HELP US
We are currently helping up to 50 low-income older adults and disabled adults in the greater Burlington area every week with taking care of their pets as part of our signature "Tuesday and Thursday" program. We have prevented dozens of our participants from relinquishing (or, more aptly, surrendering) their pets. However, in instances when we need to facilitate the surrender of our participants' pets, we identify fosterers and potential adopters who agree to stay in touch with them or us on behalf on them. This alleviates the feeling of guilt and loss associated with this incredibly difficult decision. We would greatly appreciate your support to help ensure that we can continue to provide this invaluable community service.
